It was in 1992 that Adventure club first started. There were just three of us then. Since that first camp Adventure club has slowly grown in numbers. Most members go on a minimum of four camps a year, one for each season. Some members are out every weekend practicing their bushcraft skills and testing knives and kit to its limits.
Over the last twenty four years we've become very efficient at wilderness living in a large variety of climates and terrains.
Adventures have included a three month duration wild camp in Snowdonia, a Land Rover expedition to Andora wild camping in the snow covered mountains and canoe trips to various locations around the UK.
We have a base camp at a secret location in the Forest of Dean that we visit regularly in all seasons.
It was from Adventure club that Knife club was formed in 2006.
Our camp in the Forest of Dean is very often visited by wild boar, they seem to have got used to us. Its always wonderful to see them.
Preparing dinner. Rabbits and deer, (brought with us, not poached).
